Kimjang as Eaten in Crash Landing on You

By Kimchee Curator

Winter cabbage, salt, gochugaru, a yard of people — kimjang first, then the Crash Landing cellar cite.

TL;DR

Episodes 2-3: the village does winter kimchi. Se-ri hides in the kimchi cellar, then says she does not like kimchi. Korean Bapsang and Dramabeans both recap it. This is the kimjang page.

Kimjang is the winter make. Cabbage, salt, gochugaru, a yard full of people. In episodes 2 and 3 of Crash Landing on You, the village salts cabbage in seawater and Se-ri hides in the cellar. She later says she does not like kimchi. That is the scene. We do not use the frame.

Follow the small-batch napa post already on this site: /blog/small-batch-napa-kimchi-masterclass and /recipes/tongbaechu-kimchi-classic. The drama is the door. The jar is the page.

Chonggak, kkakdugi, and mak-kimchi show up on later village tables (Korean Bapsang: episodes 2, 6, and 9). Link those types at /recipes/kkakdugi-cubed-radish-kimchi and /blog/beyond-cabbage-kkakdugi-gat-oisobagi. Do not invent a North Korean secret recipe.

The village grill — pork, napa, ssamjang — lives on https://bulgogi.ai/blog/as-eaten-in-cloy-ssam-table. That is ssam, not clam “bulgogi.”
